Bronx Gas Station Attendant Killed In Botched Robbery

102910shell.jpg One gas station attendant was killed and another was injured last night in the Bronx during a botched robbery. Police say that the suspect entered the Shell station in Baychester, just off the New England Thruway, around 11:45 p.m. He entered the snack shop and picked up a candy bar, then got into a dispute with the two attendants. A police source told the News, "he pulled out a gun and demanded money and for some reason the attendants put up a struggle." Lamine Diop, 35, was struck three times in the leg and killed; Papa Ly, 37, was struck twice, but is currently in stable condition. The perp escaped empty-handed, possibly in a white BMW.
