Deanna Favre: Faith Is Cure For Brett's (Alleged) Scandal

102110favre.jpg Crocs-enthusiast Brett Favre met with NFL officials this week to discuss Banana Penisgate. Favre is accused of sending sexually explicit messages and pictures to former Jets in-house sideline reporter Jenn Sterger, as well as harassing two Jets team masseuses. The NFL has reportedly fast tracked the investigation, and all the interested parties are being questioned. Sterger, who has neither denied nor confirmed the allegations, has hired a lawyer to advise her and "pursue any potential remedies that may exist." Deadspin editor A.J. Daulerio, who first broke the story over the summer, spoke with the VP of NFL Security this week. But one person in the Favre camp is talking up a storm: his wife, Deanna Favre.

Unfortunately, she's not saying anything that interesting (ESPN reminds us: nobody involved with the story has denied it). The female Favre appeared on several early morning talk shows today to promote her new ironically-titled book, "The Cure for the Chronic Life: Overcoming the Hopelessness That Holds You Back." While she did address the allegations against her husband, she stuck to the same message with each program: "Faith has gotten me through many difficult struggles, and it will get me through this one." So: Faith 1, Allegations of Your Husband Texting Pictures of Himself Masturbating in A Pair of Crocs 0.

It's "massage therapists" not "masseuses." If they were working for a New York team they would have been Licensed Massage Therapists.

She looks like an older version of the bimbo he sent the photos to.

"The Cure for the Chronic Life: Overcoming the Hopelessness That Holds You Back."

What is this, a 1-page book?

"Step 1: Look like a stripper and marry a rich football player. The End."

Aw, come on, it's probably about her cancer.
