Pipe Bomb, Spies: Too Much Intrigue For Montclair!

2010_10_burbs.jpg Earlier this week, a pipe bomb was found in the driveway outside a Montclair, NJ home, and the street's homes were evacuated because, as the NY Times reports, "It turned out to be a foot-long, two-inch-diameter pipe packed with enough explosive powder and nuts and bolts to hurt and possibly kill someone." And a few months ago, a Montclair couple was arrested, accused by the feds of being Russian spies! What is going on with Park Slope West (or UWSNJ)?!

One resident tells the Times, "Every town has the good and the bad... We just happened to have more news in the last few months than the average town." But a neighbor who lives near the home where the pipe bomb was found said, "My 10-year-old keeps asking would we have been hurt had it gone off. We all have young kids, and you don’t want to wake up in the morning and be told you have to evacuate." Yeah, if you want that, you live in NYC.

Mr.Neighbor, try living in the hood and explaining what goes on to your kids.
