Stylist Tells Tom Brady To Get A Damn Haircut

A few days ago, Randy Moss finally had the courage to tell Tom Brady what everyone was thinking: you look like a girl. And the nation's stylists agree! In a feature imagining NFL Quarterbacks with different hairdos, the Wall Street Journal shows a few professional stylists a photo of Tom Brady with a short buzzcut and one with his new, flowing mane. Stylist Rodney Cutler said, "Looks good, but he's trying too hard to be stylish. Relax."

For the other quarterbacks, WSJ showed the stylists a picture of their current cuts and a mock-up of how they would look with a different hairstyle. One stylist suggested spikes would add "flavor" to Eli Manning's hair, and another suggested Donovan McNabb go back to his cornrow braids. If you want nightmares, check out the photo of a bald Drew Brees. The only QB to avoid a makeover? The Jets' Mark Sanchez. Stylist Vanessa Price said, "MVP for hair in my book. I smell a hair shampoo endorsement." However, 49% of WSJ readers said they didn't like Sanchez the way he looks now. Maybe they just want the beard to come back.

The Wall Street Journal has nothing else to write about...

The Wall Street Journal has been ruined by Murdoch and his NewsCorp crew.

    +1

The Wall Street Journal commenting on football player's hairstyles? WTF?

That's not even worthy of the Daily News or Post.

  • jles

If he doesn't get a haircut, he's never gonna get any pretty girls.

  • Think2wice

Randy Moss sounds like some curmudgeonly 1960's dad or some self-appointed bitchy queen style maven.

As for Tom Brady's hair, just let it be for god's sake. I love long hair and I will never understand this hostility towards longhaired men.

  • jaycjay

It's not the length of his hair that's being criticized (and it's certainly not particularly long). It's the style, or lack thereof.

  • ktinnyc

Randy Moss has longer hair than Tom Brady he just has his in braids. Moss allegedly made his comment after Brady told Moss to shave his beard.

Randy Moss thinks Tom Brady looks like a girl??? What kind of scary freakin' girls has Randy Moss been hanging around?

"Stylist Rodney Cutler said, "Looks good, but he's trying too hard to be stylish. Relax.""

So how exactly did the stylist's comment that his cut looks good but he should relax morph into the headline "Stylist Tells Tom Brady To Get A Damn Haircut"?

I can see when headlines are inaccurate at news sources where editors write the headlines and sometimes miss the actual point that the writer made in the article, but how does that happen where the writers write their own headlines?

"WSJ showed the stylists a picture of their current cuts and a mock-up of how they would look with a different hairstyle."

No, that's clearly not what they did. They showed a stylist a picture of the current haircut, and asked what they'd suggest for that player. Then they created a mockup showing what that suggestion might look like on that player.

I kind of like that his hair pisses everyone off.

  • OSN!

Question: Why is it a black dude can wear anything, cut his hair anyway he likes, no one will utter a peep, especially white people? I remember this Rican kid growing up who wore green pants and purple Chucks sneakers. No one said a thing. No one said gee, that looks kind of [fill in the blank]. See what happens when a white dude tries to be different. I, a white 'boy', would have been mercilessly hounded if I showed up at school wearing green pants and purple sneakers. You smell me?

  • manytimes

I'm sure you made some comments about the "Rican". And yes, you smell, take a shower.

  • jaycjay

Answer: I don't know where you grew up or have been hanging out, but my experience in that area is not at all like yours.

I/we did/still would expect some commentary on someone dressed that way, regardless of their ethnicity.

  • ktinnyc

    Donovan McNabb isn't black?

  • nicemarmot

I wouldn't exactly say he looks like a girl. That would be an insult to most women. Some guys look good with long hair but Tom Brady ain't one of them.
