Coulter Compares Paladino's "Gay Gaffe" To Rooting For Cubs

101210coulter.jpg Until we get Sarah Palin on the line, we'll have to settle for Skeletor Ann Coulter to provide an even crazier soundbite to gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino's already crazy statements about homosexuality. Her opinion? The whole thing was basically a "when in Rome" situation. She told Bill O'Reilly, "He's speaking to Hasidim...It's like going to Chicago. You say ‘Go Cubs.'" And she would know a thing or two about telling your audience what they want to hear.

Paladino later clarified that he doesn't dislike gay people, just gay marriage, the gay pride parade and children knowing what "gay" is. But Coulter said that shouldn't be a problem, and told FOX News that "someone on this network should [defend him]." Surprisingly, O'Reilly was the voice of reason, telling Coulter, "The bottom line on this is, I think everybody but you in the world agrees this isn't gonna help the guy." At least it can't get any worse for the Cubs.

Truly new yorkers can't be stupid enough to vote this nitwit in. Palladino reminds me of the penguin from batman.

  • Guest

He does look like Oswald Cobblepot. I can't believe I never saw that until now.

  • fuboy

Well, we know he's tried his 'french flipper trick' on at least one woman who isn't his wife.

  • justthinkin

Hey Ann, I'm speaking to you. Should I be saying "Go diuretics!?" Gain a pound or forty...plausibility might follow, given that your opinions are as thin as you.

    Go Cubs? What an idiot!

Are there any intelligent women in the Republican party?

So what, we are pretending that the Old Testament doesn't say what it clearly does say? This is their beliefs, they consider homosexuality an abomination. As does Christianity and Islam. What, we shouldn't acknowledge the proud and long history of hatred that they all share?

Is it impolitic to point this out? Shall we allow the duplicity of faith to continue? The real question here is why do we give so much respect to faiths that do not deserve it?

    FTW

I think the only people that really care, weren't going to vote for him anyway.

  • youngpro

also, arent they orthodox, not hasidic?

  • robingee

    They looked Hasidic to me.

  • Damn, she is ugly

  • Rocknrope

Even Bill couldn't make any sense of the scarecrow's comments.

  • wingedfeetxc

I mean, that makes perfect sense. When in Nazi Germany, you blame everything on the Jews. When in Afghanistan, you shout death to American. Really, it's just being polite to your guests. To NOT speak out against homosexuality would have been gauche.

i would compare ann coulter's face to skeletor from he-man's in drag.

I can't believe I actually agree with Ann Coulter. This has never happened before. Paladino's a politician, he just says what he thinks people want to hear. God only knows what he really believes.

  • Bryce

But the scary thing is that when Ann Coulter says it, it's entertainment; when Tea Party politicians say it, they carry those thoughts into office with them. Entertainment like Coulter has morphed into reality like Paladino. It's crazy! Check out this blog post on Ann and her relationship with the Tea Party, it's really interesting.

  • youngpro

    eh, he's not a politician.

  • Guest

I think her point was that he's become a politician because politicians only say what their audience wants to hear.

  • l3iodeez

Even Coulter can't find a way to defend him.

    Coulter on Paladino:

"Well, you see, hasidim are a bunch of bigots so he had to do what he had to do"

    Gotta love it
