Being a lame duck seems to suit Governor Paterson just fine; since he announced he wouldn't be running for re-election, Paterson has had a chance to allow his inner Groucho to run wild, whether he's poking fun at himself or appointing himself to the US Senate. The laugh fest continued yesterday at Rev. Al Sharpton's birthday party: he said that Sharpton was "doing for justice what Tiger Woods did for cocktail waitresses." Sharpton liked the flattery, but wasn't sure how Tiger would feel about it: "Don't worry governor, I got your back if Tiger comes to Harlem looking for you."
