Fox 5 Reporter Accused Of Aggravated Sexual Assault On Minor

2010_09_charleslea.jpg Emmy Award-winning Fox 5 reporter Charles Leaf is being held on $250,000 in the Bergen County Jail on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a minor. Cliffview Pilot reports that the Bergen County Prosecutor's office "formally accused [him] of digitally penetrating a minor and masturbating in front of the youngster several times in recent weeks."

According to the prosecutor's website, "Members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit and the Wyckoff Police Department arrested [Leaf] without incident after learning that he sexually abused a four year old female acquaintance at his residence in Wyckoff, N.J." He was charged with one count of Aggravated Sexual Assault, one count of Sexual Assault and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

MyFoxNY has a story on the arrest and adds, "A station spokesperson says FOX 5 management is aware of the matter and is reviewing it." Leaf is also a former Marine and has held reporting positions across the country. Cliffview Pilot adds, "While working in Mobile, Alabama a decade ago, Leaf was charged in a civil suit with a 'willful physical attack' against a local councilwoman. The case was eventually settled, but two years later, in Detroit, a man told police that Leaf shouted homophobic obscenities at him after being pelted with eggs while covering a story."

    What a disgusting monster!

I hope they more than just "digitally penetrate" him in jail to see how how likes it.

    Sick bastard!

  • robingee

No! Not Charles Leaf! He seems like such a nice guy!

  • Dogsbody

Can I just lighten the mood a little by pointing out that the man's neck tie is ridiculous? It is wider than my leg!

  • robingee

Well, you do have a dog's body.

    "Aggravated Sexual Assault On Minor"

A child, not a minor. It's an important distinction in every way, including under the law where the penalties are much greater when the victim is this young.

When I read the headline, I assumed it was someone around 14 to 16.

Why am I not surprised that a Fox-employed former marine is the new poster boy for pedophilia. Good job, you puffy shit. Half of New York has been waiting for that obnoxious tub of lard to get taken off the air. Who knew it would have been so easy.

What the hell is digital penetration? You know what this means? it's a bad day to be a msnbc or cnn reporter cause Fox is going to go all out trying to dish it out on them cause they ain't going to go down alone.

  • Nyctini11

WOW, Digital penetration, that just sounds wrong, now that you all told us what it was, even worse. I will never understand sexually assaulting a toddler, WTF??

  • Ragingsemi
