Paladino Can't Stop, Won't Stop His Anti-Cuomo Tirades

10110palad.jpg Yesterday was a "day of definition" for Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino by his own account. It was a day that he felt bolstered his persona as a politically incorrect Albany outsider who refuses to back down, despite whatever contradictions become apparent in his behavior. So, what better time for a fundraiser!

Paladino sent out a letter to his supporters calling for a "money bomb" next Tuesday. "Money bombs" are a short, intensive fundraising effort for a candidate or cause designed to show the intensity of support. Paladino says he wants to raise $105,000 by midnight on October 5. "Like you, I am mad as hell at a dysfunctional government and a ruling class of insiders in Albany who don't work in the interest of the people...It is time for Albany to hear the thunder of a revolution coming down the road," he wrote supporters. Hey, Albany is just a town full of losers, anyway, and the Tea Party is pulling out of there to win.

Oh, and just because Paladino backed away from his unsubstantiated allegations that Cuomo was unfaithful to his ex-wife, doesn't mean he would give his Cuomo-attacks a rest for a day or two. During an interview on WOR-AM's John Gambling program, he continued to allege that the NY Post is in cahoots with Cuomo: “A man coming out and having his birddogs come and chase me and say I'm unfit for office? Who's unfit for office? Andrew Cuomo is unfit for office.” Paladino is starting to sound like an allegations junkie. Maybe he just hasn't had a pleasant italian dinner in a while.

I'm really trying to figure him out is Paladino crazy, or stupid, or both?

And what about the people thinking of voting for him?

    They're nuts.

this guys need to be seriously medicated. he's a lunatic! as someone said in an earlier piece on the circus that is Paladino - "I love watching this guy implode"

He could be a registered sex offender and a fan of Osama Bin Laden and still get 45% of the vote. That's how politics works these days. There's no morality, no rationality, no big picture thinking. It's all paranoia and knee-jerk hysteria.

  • HE IS RIGHT PEOPLE

  • The new york post did Andy's dirty work to take down Gov Paterson. So wake up people

Didn't Paterson take down Paterson, you know, by doing incrediblly stupid and on occasion illegal things?

  • look at the bills that he has passed. he has passed more progressive bill than any of his predecessors and he closed the budget without borrowing. illegal. look at Pataki, christine Quinn, Bruno, Sheldon Silver etc.

seriously do some research because our govt only get fucks worse and Cuomo is the biggest fucker out there

Contacting your aide's girfriend after he beat her along with having the head of the State Police contact her and lying about being invited to a Yankee playoff game and then when you are caught in the lie making up a story about being there for "official" purposes are some of the reasons Patterson isn't running. These are things of his own making.

Patterson did do some productive things while in office but he also acted like the life long politician he is and his arrogance was his downfall.

David Paterson is a good man.

I wish he was still in the race but the Dems destroyed him so Cuomo could hide until the general election.

The Democrats did their best to find dirt of Paterson and the best they could come up with was that silly phone call nonsense, which they dropped with no charges, and stupid Yankees tickets, can you imagine that? The governor can't even go to a damn Yankees game? Do you think Giuliani paid for all his Yankees ticket? Come on that was silliness.

Then when they couldn't get him for any illegal activities they voted against anything he did, including his budget, to make him look inept. But Paterson showed them because like a true leader, he found a way and rammed his budget down their throats. He called their bluff until they had to give in. It was beautiful and the first time in a long time that I was proud of a governor for standing his ground and passing a budget without borrowing. Even Andrew Cuomo praised him.

David Paterson sealed his fate when he went against the White Houses' wishes and didn't immediately appointment Caroline Kennedy to Hillary Clinton's seat, as they ordered him to. He had a war of words with the White House that lasted a few days and defiantly declared that it was his decision and he would appoint whomever he wished and that was the end of Paterson's career as a Democrat.

Same with Rangel, he was a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign and said a few nasty remarks about Obama, called him "stupid" and that was his downfall. It's Chicago style politics, get in line or you're out.

We'd be better off with Paterson than with both of these bozos but he can't lose our heads and rationally he HAVE to vote for Cuomo because Paladino is a psychopath.

  • arrogrance, I can respect that opinion. i think he was too much of a nice guy and was lead around by the wrong people. However, he really stood up against the legsislative and stop them from all that borrowing. kudos for that.

you'd almost think that the people involved making paladino the republican front runner WANT cuomo to win. its a funny thing.
