Okay People: Why are you talking about race when an innocent child was killed by this psychopathic human being? Race doesn't really have anything to do with the murder of a little boy who couldn't say his alphabet. To me any boyfriend of any mother of a young child could do the same thing as this person did. We should be discussing the law and how it works in time of murder and the like.

The mother and her boyfriend should be fixed so they can't produce any more children and they should spend the rest of their lives in prison.

Yes, but what about the population in the US for each of those races? How do those statistics compare to the population in each of those groups in the US? Wouldn't that put a different light on that and every other statistic you could drop here?

I don't have those numbers handy but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the group that has been oppressed the most and denied access to education and been discriminated at the workplace the most will probably be poorest and therefore the one with the highest levels of arrests and incarceration and will also probably make more use of public assistance because, you know, they're poor. I'm only guessing here, but I think that the fact the group has been systematically oppressed for the last few hundred years probably will lead to higher levels of poverty and we all know that poverty is a greater predictor of criminal activity than the color of one's skin, right?

And by the way, don't get offended, I wasn't trying to insinuate that white people are more prone to be child abusers. In fact I think quite the opposite, I think the numbers reflect that child abuse is pretty consistent throughout the races. Whites are the majority in this country so naturally they will have more child abusers. The point is that the number of child abusers belonging to each group are pretty consistent with their percentage of the population of that group.

Kids are taught to tell an adult when something is wrong. He did, and the adult(s) did nothing.

This isn't about race, hip-hop, welfare or white Christian fundamentalism. Child abuse occurs in every religious, racial and and socioeconomic background. Child abuse isn't taken seriously in this country. Aiyden had told his aunt that he had been beaten by the boyfriend. Why didn't his aunt call Adminitration for Children Services? If you think a child is being abused, call ACS. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Keep thinking that it's ok to hit children to discipline them, and this is the result you'll get.

Why would she be careful about who she let around her child? She already admitted to beating the 2 year old boy with a belt before. She is just as much as a sociopath as her boyfriend.

In the wild, mother's actually protect their young often fighting to the death to do so. In the human population, mother's stand by idly because their hippity-hoppity tough guy boyfriend is extra intimidating. I would have some sympathy for the mother if she had stuck a kitchen knife into this boyfriend's back.
