Back To Jail For Lindsay Lohan

lohanlindsay0910a.jpg On September 18th, Lindsay Lohan addressed her Twitter nation following her failed drug test. She wrote:

"Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result. Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future.

This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences. I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that i am trying hard, but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful....Thank you all!!!"

Well, today the fallen starlet is headed back to jail, for a third time, and possibly her longest stay (she was behind bars for 13 days during her previous sentence). According to People, at a hearing earlier today Judge Fox denied Lohan bail and ordered her to be held in custody until her October 22nd hearing. TMZ has a live stream of the scene, where Lohan was handcuffed and taken in a sheriff's vehicle, covered by a blanket. Will she be out in time for her rumored SNL hosting gig?

This kid is phenomenally effed up. I don't know if she can come back from it, Drew Barrymore-style.

    Good!

Hopefully they can save her from herself.

Let her continue her rehab behind bars.

Seems to have worked for Robert Downey Jr.

Looks like the new PR campaign is paying off Lindsay - smart move actually LISTENING to sensible people for a change.

She should never have gone this route. Let the man punish you if your caught. But NEVER allow yourself to be under the man's auspices. Rehab, probation and parole are sucker bets if you really really like to get high. It looks like an easy way out, but you can never escape them. Pissing in a cup every day of your life to satisfy someone else's curiosity? Handling little cups of piss has become big bidness these days. I dont care how high you get. The man is a bigger freak than anybody.

everybody knows she has a substance abuse problem so who is supplying her? seems like there should be other arrests too

"On September 18th, Lindsay Lohan addressed her Twitter nation..." Looks a LOT more than 140 characters to me. Musta been about 5 consecutive tweets... at that point, just fucking post it on Facebook!

To be fair to her, her own mother introduced her to coke as a teenager. On the other hand, she is a big girl now and should have sought help on her own if she has a problem. Since she didn't (and clearly won't) she might as well go to jail.

  • Rocknrope

Yeah, and you gotta love the tweet she sent right before her declaration above:

"Happy birthday to the best mom ever!! @DinaMLohan I love you!!"

This was all over the TV news like it was 9/11. I sat in this lunch place watching this. Then below the TV, this obese tourist took a photo of her boxed sushi. I thought about it and realized: I'm not really part of this country's culture.

Can someone please explain to me how her substance abuse is a "disease." That sounds like a particularly lame excuse in LL's case. Obviously for her it was a life choice and now's she's using it as a blatant excuse to gain sympathy. Thank God it didn't work. This girl is a piece of work!

  • ANGRYGOD11

I don't like the word disease used in regard to addiction, but over the years its become clear there are some people who cannot stop themselves, despite full recognition of the consequences.

I know I can drink until I don't want to and some who will not stop, no matter if its going to cost them their family, freedom , career, etc.

i'm not defending la lohan at all, but substance abuse is a disease.

    for starters.

Because someone told you it was? If it were truly a disease, people would feel sorry for her instead of yelling at her.

I'd like to see her stay in jail for 6 months, at the least. I want to see what prison tattoos she'll have when she comes out.
