Crossing The Harlem River Drive Isn't A Good Idea

2010_09_harlriver.jpg A man who was crossing the Harlem River Drive at East 135th Street was killed when "he was clipped by the sideview mirror of a Chevy Suburban and pushed under the rear wheels of a passing school bus," the Daily News reports. The victim's friend said, "I've never seen nobody get hit like that. He literally flew," and added, "We told him, 'Don't cross the highway, that's dangerous.' Instead of walking on the ramp, he went on the highway. The car hit him like he was paper." It's unlikely charges will be filed against the SUV driver or the bus driver.

    Straight up suicide.

that pedestrian overpass and ramp is extremely long so i can see the temptation to skip it. however, that area of the highway is a little curvy and there are a number of overpasses and things that would not allow the drivers to see a great distance ahead of them. sad

This is why we need to teach natural selection in schools.

Why would the SUV or bus driver be charge? The guy basically committed suicide.
