I hope this isn't too obvious, but Sad Panda is sad because we are in a bear market and we owe China a trillion dollars.

The man inside the bear isn't that sad; he's an actor playing a subtle role. I hype him whenever I can and throw a dollar into his honey pot to signal to tourists that tipping is done here.

I think he might also be sad because he might have been evicted from performing near the Raging Bull or under the facade of the NY Stock Exchange.

Who the hell cares?

Ah. Blame the source (me) for bad reporting. I saw someone helping to set up wearing a t-shirt that said something like 'Law & Order SVU crew' and thus made my assumption. At least it allowed for the link to the cake.
