Pervert Arrested At M&M's Store

2010_09_mmwo.jpg A man was arrested and charged with sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child, and attempted petit larceny after allegedly assaulting a 6-year-old at the M&M's World store in Times Square. The Post reports, "Ismael Jimenez, 22, was standing behind the 35-year-old dad, whose daughter was propped on his shoulders, as they rode the escalator in the mega-store on Broadway at West 49th Street at 4:15 p.m. Monday, sources said. Suddenly, Jimenez kissed the kid on her thigh, sources said." Naturally, the dad freaked out and security called the cops.

Gross. Like anyone needs another reason NOT to go to the M&M's store. I always wondered what kind of tourist felt the need to visit such a place, it obviously makes enough money to stay in business so someone must be going there... pervs I guess.

Lets also cite the father for stupidity......6 yo on shoulders riding on escalator??

    "petit larceny"

I think I've figured it out. You guys don't actually type your stories, you read them into one of those voice transcribing software things. Some of these spelling errors remind me of when Google Voice fails to properly transcribe a voicemail and the result is sort of like a mad-lib.

Petit Larceny is the legal term for petty crime (stealing some M&Ms in this case)

  • Tower18

Heh, owned, I had no idea that people also said "petit" larceny, rather than petty larceny.

    What a sick bastard!

As a father I can only say that if that were my daughter you'd by reading a totally different story and it would probably be on the front page.

Somehow I'm beginning to think that (duh) Gothamist feeds off of the "racial intolerance" here by reposting these tacky inconsequential blurbs from the Post...
