Mom Drunkenly Crashes With Four Kids In Car

090810dwi.jpg And this is why we have Leandra's Law. A Westchester mom has been charged with four counts of DWI after crashing into a tree in Newburgh last night. Police said she had a blood alcohol content three times the legal limit, and had four children, ages four, five, six and 18-months, in the back seat. The woman, Michelle Reyes, is being held on $25,000 bond. The children, all thankfully safe after the accident, are with their grandparents. Last month, a Staten Island man was busted for driving with a blood alcohol content of .14 with his 3- and 7-year-old kids in the car. He faces up to four years in prison.

Bunch of errors in this blurb - the mom was from Newburgh, in Orange County (not Westchester) and the accident occurred in Greenwood Lake (not Newburgh).

What the fuck is going on with these mothers?

Drinking a pint of vodka before driving with the kids?

Driving or not, just being around kids while drunk like that is irresponsible enough.

Is this actually happening more often or is it just being reported more often, because this is getting ri-goddamn-diculous.
