Gingrich: Make Ground Zero A "National Battlefield Memorial"

Obviously I'm at odds with the previous 21 commentators, but this is actually a good idea. The WTC site (I hate the term "Ground Zero") has national historical significance, and not just because of the terrorist attack. It would be appropriate to make the site a national historical site and to federally fund and administer the memorial and museum.

None of this, of course, has anything to do with the mosque, which is not on the site.

So Newt wants the government to seize the WTC site and all the property around it. And where, exactly, does he propose to find the billions of dollars this would cost? Where, exactly, is his love of free enterprise as he throws Larry Silverstein under the bus? Where, exactly, is the evidence this man was once considered an intellectual and a leader?
