NYC Celebrates Michael Jackson, Again

Yesterday, Spike Lee held hosted another birthday party in Prospect Park for the late Michael Jackson, who would have turned 52 years old (here are some shots from last year's celebration). This year Snoop Dogg showed up and performed a few of MJ's hits!

Some close to the King of Pop weren't feeling celebratory, however, as talks of exhuming his remains continue. Reportedly, if this happens and "if any testing is to be done, it should be complete before Michael Jackson's birthday [next] year. Even if his body is exhumed, it should be laid back to rest by then."

Wow, that lower back tattoo is spectacular. Imagine hitting that from the back and having that creepy image staring back at you.

  • Rocknrope

From the looks of that rear view, the tatt is probably the least of your worries.

Bamboozed was a great movie, but it was probably over your head. Miracle at St. Anna was also fantastic. You probably have a lot in common with those 19th century people. Btw, white people gave Monique that Oscar.

Remember when Spike Lee made good movies?

  • NlGGAZ

No. He made one ok movie - do the right thing and one good movie - Malcolm X. But mostly he's made his living as a novelty, as a black director. It's like how a black person was celebrated in the 1800's for knowing how to speak english. Now he's deifying a known pedophile. That's how it is. Black people, what's up? you had denzel and then nothing. I had high hopes for Chiwetel Ejiofor. He was really good in Serenity and dirty pretty things but then he made 2012. Now monique is getting an oscar? goddamn. this is not how we do.

He's not a known pedophile. He's an alleged pedophile. You know, like you're an alleged racist (see John L's comment).

Would you consider yourself a racist?
