Daily News Endorses Cuomo For Governor

The Daily News decided to skip endorsing a candidate for governor ahead of next month's Repubican primary and went straight to endorsing Andrew Cuomo, the Democratic candidate, for the job: "There is no point in taking further stock of the candidates vying for the Republican nomination in next month's primary. Rick Lazio and Carl Paladino have been that awful... New Yorkers deserve a return to the Executive Mansion of a governor with the fiber to hold to fundamental principles. That is not Lazio. A former Long Island congressman, he was handily defeated for Senate by Hillary Clinton in 2000. He wanted a comeback but drew scant enthusiasm from party leaders and is running scared against [Carl] Paladino, an upstate real estate developer whose proposals range from ill-informed to illegal."

With any luck Cuomo can stick a fork in NY like he helped do to the U.S. when he ran HUD.

Between him, Frank and Dodd, there's the bulk of the source of the mortgage crises.

And bonus, Cuomo kisses jihadi ass like other pols kiss babies.

What is sad is that there aren't any stronger opposition candidates to Cuomo out there to challenge him...Most New Yorkers I feel see Cuomo as a politically connected Dem Party hack with no new ideas to offer...More of the same BS in Albany it looks like..what a joke.

They're all idiots, but Cuomo is the least dangerous of the three.

Thats a pretty sad endorsement. The entire article is about how bad Paladino and Lazio are which makes Cuomo the only choice as opposed to discussing Cuomos agenda or any actual political issues. I think any New Yorker with common sense already knew the two Republican candidates were already non choices
