Will everyone please just leave Christina Hendricks's body alone! First the NY Times distorted her figure to prove some point that "big girls" shouldn't wear "big dresses"—and now London Fog has Photoshop-chopped her curves off. Jezebel did some comparing and contrasting of her photo shoot outtakes and the raincoat company's actual ad campaign, and lo and behold, the Mad Men starlet (who is known, and loved, for her curves) has been given the hatchet job again. Sigh. For the real deal, here's some untouched video from her shoot:

And London Fog, next time just hire Betty Draper or Pete Campbell if you're going to pull this stuff.

I think Jezebel missed the boat a little bit. They didn't photoshop her to lessen her hips...they photoshopped her to accentuate her breasts.

Not that it makes it right or anything, but Jezebel seemed to take offense to the thought that London Fog found her hips to be too big.

I think Jezebel is squarely ON the boat. The point is that they Photoshopped her at all. She has a gorgeous, celebrated, perhaps even iconic figure and it was completely unnecessary to tamper with it-- be it to accentuate one part or slim down another.

hendricks is a real woman with real beauty and she keeps getting the 'shop treatment. but what can you expect? the fashion world is ruled by gay men and old, shriveled, 90 lb. women -- what the hell do they know about curves?!

Why call someone a homophobe just because they complained that a gay man knows nothing about a woman's curves? That's very narrow-minded of you. And don't accuse me of homophobia either. I love gay people... at least the ones that have a decent head on their shoulders.
