Remember all that fuss about the Arby's opening up in the landmarked Gage & Tollner building in Brooklyn? Well, hopefully you got your fill of roast beef sandwiches and curly fries, because after just seven months they're closing up shop! Leaving the borough of Brooklyn Arby's-less once again. According to Brownstoner, the joint has already shuttered at the 372 Fulton Street space, and movers were spotted removing their belongings last night. Previously T.G.I. Friday's also failed to make magic happen at the location—wonder what chain will attempt it next...

And the ghost of Gage & Tollner knocks out another fast-food franchise. First it was TGI Fridays, then it was Arby's. What next, an Olive Garden??

A damn shame, really. G&T was an awesome restaurant in a lousy location. It's still a lousy location for a $30 steak, but perhaps one day.

But Brooklyn has a Roll'n Roaster.

There's an Arby's right by me in Fresh Meadows, right off the LIE.

For some reason, every time I ask the Arby's people to put extra red ranch sauce - which is that very yummy tasting sauce they put on their roast beef sandwiches - they always mysteriously fail to comply, and instead, give me a shitload of other bbq and the like sauces. I wonder if it's a concerted effort.
