As we learned late last year, coffee can make a person less suicidal, so perhaps it's not surprising that the rainy Pacific Northwest drinks so much of it. Seattle and Portland rank #1 and #2, respectively, on a list of the most caffeinated cities recently put together by the Daily Beast. The site compared stats from urban centers across the country to create their list, and considered three things: "the availability of coffee, the average monthly outlay for coffee and total caffeine consumption from all sources, including tea, sweets, energy drinks and pills."
So where do we stand in all this? According to their breakdown, there are 8 coffee shops per 100K residents here, and the average New Yorker spends $27 a month filling up their coffee cups. That makes NYC the #9 most caffeinated city (out of 20 ranked). Let's try harder next time, everyone.

Given what a rip off everything is here, can we be #1 in anything as far as consumption goes?
Give me a fuckin' break with this coffee shit, all these decrepit rotting chicks who smoke cigs n shit, and you see their filthy, shaking faces like "ahhh....need. coffee. to. function". Disgusting trashbags.
What the hell are you talking about?
