Is Jay-Z Annoyed With LeBron? Maybe

2010_06_proky.jpg Looks like Jay-Z really wanted to impress Mikhail Prokhorov! MediaTakeOut reported, per an "extremely credible insider," that the rap mogul feels dissed by LeBron James during James' free agency sweepstakes, "Jay Z was supposed to be able to bring stars to [the New Jersey] Nets - or at least have access to them. [During the time that LeBron was making his decision] he didn't even take [Jay Z's] calls. It made [Jay Z] look like he couldn't deliver to the Nets management... If [Jay Z] would have landed a star player, he could have been seen as a legitimate asset to the team. Now they see him as just dead weight."

Gatecrasher gets this take from another "insider": "Jay never expected LeBron to sign with the Nets. He knew that no 25-year-old kid with James' profile was going to spend years in Newark. But he's pissed, or at least disappointed, that LeBron didn't consult with him."

Jay-Z is an investor with the Nets, but he does play a public role by discussing the team when he's on talk shows like the Late Show with David Letterman.

That ugly billboard painting exemplifies the short sighted nature of the owners and management. A fluid, winning team sells tickets as much, if not more so than 'star power'

Then why do ratings plunge when the San Antonio Spurs win championships? They've done it several times and the ratings don't lie.

"REASONABLE players that DON'T SUCK" WTF does this mean?

Ok, he can proly spend all of 10 mil to assemble together T-Mac, Iverson, Shaq, Penny and Vince Carter, there, there's your team for 2010-2011.

Jay-Z's should focus on rebuilding the team from the management, and then down to getting some REASONABLE players that DON'T SUCK.

Then you can think about getting some stars.
