  • Kansas City 7 Yankees 4: Sergio Mitre bombed in his return to the Yankees and New York couldn’t recover from the hole he created. Down 6-0, the Yankees rallied, getting the tying run to the plate in the ninth, but Mark Teixeira was just out on a bang-bang play at first.

  • Dodgers 3 Mets 2 (13 innings): The Mets were out of options, so they were forced to turn to Ollie Perez and the results were as expected. Perez pitched well to escape a jam in the 12th, but he gave up the game-winning homer in the 13th to James Loney.

The Mets were out of options-all because Jerry Manuel can't manage the fucking bullpen. Fire him already.

  • Mr Mel

Methinks Jerry Manuel's days are numbered.
