"Dating Brian" Has Brilliant Idea, Uses Internet For Dates

The internet will choose what you do with this man.
Say you're a fresh-faced New York City intern at an advertising agency, tasked with the project of creating something that would catch people's attention. Let's also say you're also recently single, and want to get back in the game without your mom's help. His name is Brian, and is using the internet to find himself some dates.

Brian Moore convinced employers BBH advertising to back his social media project, where he goes on 30 dates in 30 days. But unlike typical dating sites which let you enjoy your date in private, Moore crowdsources his dates, letting the fates (i.e. random people on the internet) choose who he dates, where he takes them and how he should act. So far he's taken three lucky ladies to Brooklyn Bowl, the High Line and Sweet Revenge. Right now he's asking the internet how he should do his hair.

Really, the premise is no different than the average single-and-looking New Yorker plastering Twitter with questions and updates for their friends to chime in on. Moore just put it on a bigger scale. He tells the Daily News, "I don't pick up girls in bars, I'm not good at that, and that's not the kind of thing I want to do...I'm putting myself on the line. It's up to the Internet to make the decisions for me, my life is shared with the public." Good to know that in the crazy New York dating scene, there is still a man out there who can avoid commitment by letting others make decisions for him.

Women interested in having their date planned by the same community that made bros icing bros a thing can fill out a questionnaire online. Now all that's left to do is to wait for the inevitable book deal/reality show. Shatner might have to sit this one out, though.

In other words he's a socially retarded dork with absolutely no understanding of interpersonal relationships.

I bet he takes women out to dinner and makes them talk to him via instant messenger while at the table.

    I hate people like this.

  • julienne

yeah, needing a few drinks to have the nerves to talk to a girl is a mark of true social savvy. what a social retard!

  • matty

    well, yes, exactly.

  • angry_pickle

Awww he looks so innocent. I think if most of his audience is from NYC, they will probably set him up with some girl who is addicted to Sex and the City, alcohol, or therapy.

  • Cannibal

I vote for him to go to his next date with doo doo smeared down his face...

  • Aw. Look at all the haters! The internet is scary ma, I heard there were flames on it, like in HELL! Settle down, you all. You know if a bunch of trolls say you should go to North Korea you don't like, HAVE to, right? Like, you get that, right?

  • kazubes

go back to Wisconsin you stupid yup and stay there with your stupid face and your internet blog dates

  • robingee

"Go back to (insert midwestern state that we assume is full of idiots) while I continue to make witty remarks on blog comment boards!"

  • gimme

so this is what modern life has come to, this and a movie on facebook coming out soon, someone hand me a sledgehammer, then I'm going to ramble around in the far country for awhile

  • Kojak

Remember when Justin Bieber let the internet choose what country he should tour next, and they picked North Korea? I see something similar happening to poor Brian.

    But good luck to him.
