Chelsea Clinton's Wedding Is Ruining Everything

072110clinton.jpg Chelsea Clinton's "Wedding of the Century" is set to be held in Rhinebeck, NY on July 31st at the Astor Courts estate in the area. And though a great time is sure to be had by all, one Brooklyn teacher is pissed. Emn Haddad-Friedman has been planning her wedding for the past two years, set to take place in Rhinebeck on the same day of the former first daughter's nuptials. She told Yahoo, "I know she's not doing it on purpose. But Chelsea Clinton has taken what was supposed to be a special day for me and turned it into hell." There's only one way to solve this: Bridezilla boxing!

Expecting closed roads and lots of security, Haddad-Friedman says Clinton's 500 guest wedding could keep her guests from getting to her ceremony and reception, and she doesn't have the money to relocate on short notice. She said, "We're in a recession; we don't have the highest-paying jobs. I'm happy for Chelsea, but she's got planners and I've got my mom." Clinton even has the audacity to hold her rehearsal dinner at Haddad-Friedman's favorite restaurant!

At least Haddad-Friedman, who sorta regrets the Yahoo interview now, has a bigger-picture outlook on the day, "If none of the guests can get to the wedding, we're still getting married...As long as we’re there, a witness and some one who can marry us, we’re doing it." And, since everyone will already be dressed the part, there should be some epic wedding crashing going on.

I can't wait for the scene where Clinton's enemies all get offed during the wedding ceremony.

Chelsea proves that Ivy League educated lawyers should not be allowed to reproduce. Has her future father-in-law been released from prison yet?

This chick needs to get over it. When I was married I found out only a few days before the wedding that the Bush family (including dubya) was to have a wedding ceremony the same day at the same church.

Frankly, it became an asset since we were being married in a place known for being a tourist trap- free security! Unless you were a guest you didn't get to be anywhere near the church, which was great since we totally expected tourists to be milling around while we took our vows. Instead we got garanteed quiet thanks to the coast gaurd and the secret service.

Baby Jessica was pulled out of the well (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J... on the night of my 8th Birthday party. It was my first sleepover birthday party and all of TGIF on ABC was cancelled to watch her being lifted out. I was devastated. She ruined my party, but twenty two years later I can say I got over it. This girl needs to chill out.

So is Emn Haddad-Friedman going to hyphenate her name again? And can someone sell her a vowel for her first name please?

"But Chelsea Clinton has taken what was supposed to be a special day for me and turned it into hell."

It's not "hell" unless you let it be, sweetheart. Just by jumping up and down and screeching about it makes it worse than if you just would shut up and get married.

I hate this spoiled bitch culture of brides in America.

I skimmed the Yahoo article and she actually sounds pretty reasonable. Her chief concern is the possibility of road closures and that the police won't even acknowledge the Clinton wedding is happening. The article is on a Yahoo site aimed at women so it's a little more sensationalistic than if it were written by the Associated Press.

    YAHOO! articles are the worst.

    ME ME ME MEE MEEEE!

I'm getting married i'm special how dare you get married on the same day!!! MEEEEE!!!

  • ozik

Uh, no. It's "How dare you get married in a manner that will probably fuck up the ceremonies of those around you; secret service, road closures, shut-downs of public areas. These are all things I expect and will probably not be informed of until the day of the wedding."

  • robingee

    Yeah exactly.

  • SP's Ghost

wow, Chelsea sure has outgrown her ugly duckling days as an awkward kid in the 90's. She looks very pretty now. She has a little bit of the squirrel cheeks thing going on, but she's a cutie.

  • nicemarmot

She had a fair bit of plastic surgery in the last ten years. Nose job, eye job, whatever they call it when they fix your smile so it's not so gummy. But it's all really good plastic surgery, so she still looks like Chelsea, only better.

  • MT

That can't be true. If you look at side-by-side pictures of her and Hillary they are EXACTLY the same. Same facial expressions and everything. She just matured. That's all.

As I said...plastic surgery, but the good kind. I don't think there's anything wrong with having it if you actually have the money and take the time to do it right. Which she appears to have done, so good for her.

  • unretrofiedforu

Yeah, 'cuz Hilary would never have plastic surgery either.
