  • Tampa Bay 10 Yankees 5: Maybe it was the fact that it was Old Timer’s Day that inspired AJ Burnett to act like Kevin Brown. Burnett couldn’t complete the third inning because he punched something in the locker room and cut his hand. Burnett’s implosion and some mediocre relief pitching doomed the Yanks who saw their lead in the AL East drop to 2 games.

  • San Francisco 8 Mets 4: On the plus side, the Mets scored some runs. Unfortunately, it was too little too late as the Giants jumped out to a 6-0 lead and never looked back. Ike Davis and Carlos Beltran made up the majority of the offense with two hits a piece.
