Sharks Descend On Jersey Shorelines

jerseyshark.jpg Not too long ago the U.S. Coast Guard issued a shark advisory, warning New York and surrounding states that great whites may be lurking in the waters. Not long after, a fisherman was bit by an 8-foot-long blue shark, and now 1010Wins reports that lifeguards in three New Jersey towns evacuated waters after receiving reports that two 5-foot (unidentifiable) sharks were close to shore. Sounds like quite the situation. No but seriously, who do you think would win in a duel: The Situation or Jaws? Surely reality television will get there, one day.

  • The North Atlantic is filled with an unusual number of Great Whites this year. On Cape Cod's north shore there are sightings nearly everyday. In fact, a fisherman spotted one very large shark the other day measured at nearly 16 feet—HUGE!
