Flashback: A Visual History Of Queens

Historic Photos of Queens, which hit bookshelves on June 20th and was compiled by Queens-bred writer (and attorney) Kevin O'Donoghue, contains nearly 200 vivid black-and-white photos that document the borough's rich history; "from its transition from rural countryside into bustling towns, to its landmark construction projects... a visual timeline of the borough’s whirlwind evolution that attracted, and continues to attract, outsiders in droves." Here's a look at 7 of those nearly 200 images, with a little history included with each.
