Coyotes "Are Crossing The Line" In Westchester

2010_06_coyote.jpg After two coyotes attacked a 6-year-old girl playing in her front lawn in Rye, NY, residents of the Westchester suburb are very worried. The girl, who had been playing with her older sisters (the coyotes may have targeted her because she was the smallest), suffered bites on her shoulder and thigh, and maybe her ear. A neighbor told the Journal News, "It's really uncommon, and clearly the animals are crossing the line. This is a deliberate attack and I hope something is done about it. Summer is here, and kids are outside playing much later. We have three kids, and we can't let them out any more at night until they catch these coyotes." The NY State DEC has tips on avoiding coyote conflicts.

You can't beat these coyotes, they online shop at ACME.

What people like felix don't understand is coyotes are highly skilled predators, the only thing that will lower the numbers is either a disease or for people to hunt and kill them. Coyotes can decimate populations of prey animals. I had several packs of coyote on my property and they destroyed the rabbit populations and personally witnessed a pack attack and kill a fawn. These animals need managed or they will get out of control, no matter what ignorant people like felex say, their agenda is money, not people or animals and besides there is no greater adrenaline rush than the one you get by calling in coyotes.

Time for open season on coyotes.

I just view a picture of their McMansion belonging to the family of this girl. No wonder the coyotes have no room left. These people built McMansion in the wild.

Of course if it turns out the accused coyotes were rabid, then that would indicate diminished mental capacity and prove a lesser charge against them more humane. Perhaps medical treatment and rehabilitation at a wildlife sanctuary would be more appropriate if and when the coyotes are captured?

This is actually part of a convoluted scheme of the Deers of Westchester to get the humans to do the dirty work, and rid their land of coyotes, so that they can be the number 1 feared menaces.

crossing the line? they're so far across the line, they can't even see the line. the line is a dot to them!

if people would just learn how to respect animals and live in harmony with nature they wouldn't have any problems this problem is 100% manmade thanks to suburban sprawl and thoughtlessness

  • Stevennnn

More of that problem is happening with wildlife in Orange and Dutchess counties. Before the recession they were building new homes and commercial places one after another.

Seriously, wait until they get the goods they ordered from ACME - then we're all in trouble!

"This is a deliberate attack" - Yeah, like the Taliban or Hamas was behind it or something...

    LOL

We need to invest in more safes, TNT and rocket powered roller skates, stat. That's how you silence the coyote menace.
