Bing wants to seduce you away from Google Maps, so they've introduced a neat little feature that allows you to make your route appear more visually interesting. The feature includes design options like: Sketchy, European, American, and Treasure. Try it out here. [via Kottke]

    No public transit directions in NYC = FAIL

    Maybe if they want to compete with google maps they'd add an option for directions using public transit instead of this useless feature.

    Its crazy that google maps is copying features from bing such as full screen images on home page and searching images by color, size etc to name a few.

    i dunno: there's something about a map that tells me i should walk over the Holland Tunnel to go to Jersey City that makes me question Bing's practicality.

    Bing blows the harder something adverts to me the more i stay the hell away. Tell me this trend is generational.
