Photos of 2 Jane Street, and Barbara Bush and her new bff Leigh Lezark?

Just after we found out 28-year-old Barbara Bush was living in a walk-up without a television, word comes in that the spawn of G.W. is now apartment shopping for some fancy new digs. According to the Daily News she was spotted with her mom yesterday in Greenwich Village, checking out an apartment at 2 Jane Street, where one $975,000 unit is for sale (pictured).

The place comes with a landscaped, 1,500-square-foot roof-deck—which may give her the serenity she needs if CBS is correct in thinking she's ditching her old West 9th digs due to all the brownstone construction going on.

hmm, some joke possibilities here too if one were to go out with her, and perhaps a major taunt to her dad if you're a liberal -- of course, provided that you don't get tracked down by some clean-cut, ruthless robots from the nsa.

where's my imaginary sexy dunkin' donuts employee? :'(

  • virgilstarkwell

doesn't she know that benny's burritos is right downstairs and there might be, gasp, brown people there???

  • jpeditor

Yeah, the Bush family is so racist that Jeb Bush even married a Mexican.

Now go choke on that burrito, you silly race-card playuh (but first be sure and ask Jesse Jackson if he spat on it).

  • UpperEastSighed

Like they always said: "Ursuline to bed; Hockaday to wed."

  • Mr. Shankly

Leigh needs a sammich and a cheering up.

  • Billiamsburg

this is why manhattan is boring and new york is dead

  • ur doing it rong

congrats on not being a cliche

  • yttrstein

Go suck a six dollar latte, hipster shitball.

  • Billiamsburg

Aren't you and girlfriends gonna be late for SATC2?

  • hasoferet

Also from a co-op standpoint the low down payment (10%) and the unlimited rental policy should be huge red flags to anyone buying.

  • hasoferet

I live on Jane Street. Although the apartment looks nice and the roof deck is worth something, the building itself is on the dumpy side.

  • Bottomless Chips

Wow. A million bucks for that place and the roof? That's a good deal.

  • sexisicilian

That's what I thought, airy & lots of sunshine;)

I wonder how long it will be before she realizes that the village is probably not the place for dubya spawn.

  • EastRiver

She worked with AIDS patients in Africa, worked at the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt museum and founded a public health non-profit.

  • Clarice City

That's a start. Maybe she has time to join the army and fight some of the war that her family has financially benefitted from.

  • jpeditor

why don't you show us EXACTLY how

"her family has financially benefitted from." those wars?

Or do you just like regurgitating the lies from the communist / jihad corner.

  • EastRiver

You entirely missed the point. Not surprised.

  • unretrofiedforu

The point? So she did a few public works/benefits. People who are usually above the system/machine/establishment have the means to do so and still live a comfortable life.

It doesn't make her any better than the bankers and 'high-priced' lawyers who populate the area. WAKE UP.

  • yttrstein

    So?
