Simon Pegg Has Dunst's Back In Courtroom

dunstpegg0610.jpg Can we all just agree that Kirsten Dunst does, or has at one point, dabbled with a little doobie? And that even if she does, or has been in possession of a little pot, that the Hollywood starlet is going to have a team around her wiling to take the fall? And that even if she was caught red-handed with it, that she'd suffer nothing more than a slap on her dainty wrist?

It's day one million (whatever, it's been three years) of the ongoing trials and retrials of James Jimenez, who was accused of being in cahoots with Jarrod Beinerman in stealing a Balenciaga bag and some other belongings from Dunst's SoHo Grand Hotel suite when she was just about to wrap on filming How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. So far, Beinerman (allegedly a known drug dealer) was sentenced to 4 years behind bars, and Jimenez has claimed that he had no idea theft was involved in their visit to the penthouse—he says he was following Beinerman, who was the on-location drug dealer for Dunst & Co. If his story is true, then they were invited guests into the highly guarded room.

Enter Simon Pegg (pictured), Dunst's co-star in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. The Post reports that yesterday he testified as a witness (his "electronics" were also stolen from the suite, which was acting as a green room during the shoot). He said the duo were "absolutely not" invited guests, and that "we figured that the floor was secure because of the rigmarole it had taken to get up there." This is the third testimony from someone on Team Dunst attempting to refute Jimenez's claims. Last week when pot was found in the stolen Balenciaga bag, Dunst's assistant took the heat, and the starlet herself claimed she does not smoke the stuff.

Jimenez should be finding out his fate soon; he turned down a plea deal for two years in prison, and currently faces up to 15 years behind bars if convicted.

I had jury duty on Tuesday and saw Dunst passing by as I was waiting to enter the Supreme Court for a 6 week murder-for-hire trial. (6 week trial at the start of Summer? Yeah right!) I really wasn't impressed with her "look". She didn't resemble anything like the picture above or Mary Jane from Spiderman. MUAs can do amazing things. I was more interested in the models and unemployed actresses in my jury group, not to mention a few hot lawyers running around the courthouse.

Jury duty is a great place to meet a girl in New York

Think about it.... you already know 4 things about her:

    1) never been convicted of a felony

    2) is an American citizen

    3) can understand English

    4) Lives in New York County

  • I dont see the benifits of 2 and 3.

5.) Since she's not cleaver enough to get out of jury duty, it's clear she's not smart enough to get away from you.

    Highly guarded room?

either you knew who they were or you don't.

    someone knew who they were.

they provided the party favors. c'mon, has anyone been to a SNL wrap party?

Has anyone ever been in a green room during a movie shoot? All kinds of crew people come in and out; the actors definitely don't know who they all are.

  • JacqueMehoff

Was this the "green room" or was it her room?

somehow I'm not believing mr. Pegg. I hope the jury lets Jimenez off on account of dunst's douche witnesses.

  • This is interesting

  • This should not be a big deal.

i don't know why, but i find kirsten attractive -- not very attractive, but attractive in that weird "bubbly actress" sort of way.

is there something wrong with me???

  • soxinthecity

Nothing wrong with thinking Kirsten is attractive. I'd bet that she would be a good lay, especially after a bit of purple cush.

  • I think this movie is more famous for the purse stealing incident than the movie itself.

  • 15 years in jail?! for stealing someones property?

    damn.

    who says justice is fair.

  • jaycjay

Because someone could be sentenced to up to 15 years certainly doesn't mean they will be. The other guy got four and a half years.
