City: Differing Photos Of Mineo's Boxers Are Optical Illusion

060310smokund2.jpg Last week lawyers for the man who accused NYPD officers of sodomizing him as he resisted arrest in a Brooklyn subway station accused police investigators of tampering with their client's boxer shorts to make it seem that the hole could not have been made by a police baton. Indeed, the photos comparing the hole in Michael Mineo's boxers before and after seemed damning, but yesterday lawyers for the city hit back, claiming that the hole in the shorts merely appears to be different because of "bunching of the fabric" that creates an "optical illusion." It's true—and if you stare at the photos now while crossing your eyes, you can see a really trippy 3D "magic eye" landscape that's the same in both shots.

Only a matter of time when this guy will get in trouble with the law again and file some bogus lawsuit and gobble up tax payer's dollars.

I dunno about y'all, but I am tired of looking at that guy's dirty ass hole.

The shorts are so obviously bunched in the comparison picture versus the official pictures where the cloth is completely flat..whats the story here?

    Wedgie happens?

  • I disagree with Jamie, John. You're hilarious. Super dry. Keep up the good work.

It really grosses me out how the hole in those boxers looks dirty around it's edges. Considering where it is positioned, that seems fairly foul.

    Oh it's a schooner.

JDS, at some point you really have to come to terms with the fact that humor writing is really just not your thing.

there's nothing humorous about a blood-shit stained underwear with a hole on it.

puking reactions maybe, but humor, i don't know.

You speak like someone who hasn't had awful things happen to you. Good. I hope that continues to be the case.

I don't know, he has hits and misses. "Wanna eat my magic eye?" could be a pretty good pick up line in the right gay bar.

Um no shit-sorry poor choice of words, but I called it the last time...
