No watches, no warnings, not even a lousy advisory. There's not much of anything going on weatherwise today. The best it can do is a dying cold front about to pass through the city. No clouds or rain are associated with the front, so the subway series will get off to a good start, but it will produce a strong temperature gradient across the metro area. Look for highs in the mid 70s in eastern Queens increasing westward to at least the mid 80s in Newark.
Winds off the ocean will hold tomorrow's highs to the mid 70s across the city. Saturday should start out sunny and cloud up as the day progresses. The Weather Service is calling for a 20 percent chance of rain tomorrow afternoon but they're not too enthusiastic about those chances. Rain is more likely from late Saturday night through Sunday. Thanks to thick clouds and a continued onshore breeze Sunday's high will get stuck in the 60s.
A high pressure system arrives with the start of the work week and it's a warm one. Monday's high is expected to rebound to 75ish and the rest of next week is shaping up to be in the low 80s.
