Firefighter Allegedly Attempted To Seduce Teen Girl

Engine Co. 255 firefighter Kendrick Bass has been arrested after allegedly attempting to sign a 14-year-old girl out of school to have sex with her. Bass met the young lady over a phone dating service, and showed up at her school in uniform on January 15th. There, he told the secretary that he was her uncle, but the secretary called the girl's grandmother, who said he was lying. Bass was arrested on Monday for endangering the welfare of a child, and has been suspended without pay. Which is all well and good, but can somebody please tell us what that girl was doing on a phone dating service?

Holy crap. To show up at her school takes frigging nerve. Good on the school for checking up; I think most would just see a man in uniform and believe him (which is what he was counting on) but seriously, to show up at her school and be all visible? What a creep!
