Lil Wayne Caught With "Music Contraband"

Before his prison incarceration earlier this year, exuberant twitterer and ESPN blogger Lil Wayne told Dinosaur Music magazine that he was planning on working on music while in jail...which seemed presumptively ambitious, to say the least. It all sounded too good to be true, and yesterday, our worst fears were realized when Lil Wayne was caught with "music contraband" in prison.

Specifically, he was caught with a charger and ear phones for some sort of space-age mp3 watch that was not allowed; another inmate housed nearby Wayne was found with another music player that was similarly forbidden. An anonymous source told Fox News the items were well hid: "We found the items wrapped in an aluminum potato chip bag, in a garbage can." But of more pressing concern for Wayne is how he was caught: according to the Daily News, guards were tipped off by "a prison rat." Previously, Lil Wayne waxed poetic in his song "Trouble" on long-tailed rodents of the superfamily Muroidea: "Cut that tail off the rat, he won't rat no more."
