"9/11 Made Him Wank It": Lawyer Blames Cop's Porn on PTSD

There's a simple explanation for why Port Authority cop William Burns had all that porn on his computer: 9/11! Burns was busted by Internal Affairs police in April 2007 after porn was found on his work computer, and in the subsequent probe, they also discovered that he stole more than $4,400 from the Port Authority by using toll and hotel vouchers without authorization.

During a "pretrial intervention" agreement, Burns agreed to plead guilty, avoiding jail time under the condition that he pay back the stolen funds. Then he was allowed to resign and keep his pension, likely worth $150,000 a year, because his lawyer successfully argued that his client's criminal conduct stemmed from PTSD from working at Ground Zero after 9/11. As one outraged anti-corruption investigator tells the Post, "This is disgusting."

Wow. As part of the deal, Lt. William Burns is retiring with a $150,000/yr. pension. Since he's presently 46 years old that means he could be receiving that pension for another 30-40 years.

How many more are there like him on the force? I'll bet more than a few.
