311 Administrator Killed By Driver With Suspended License

043010311.jpg A 311 administrator was struck and killed outside of her Staten Island home yesterday morning by a man driving with a suspended license. Roxane Murano, 59, was hit by a 2009 BMW driven by Oliger Hysenagoll. The force was apparently enough to knock Murano out of her shoes, and she died of her injuries hours later at Richmond University Medical Center. Mayor Bloomberg said in a statement, "Every one of her co-workers I’ve heard from tonight has said that she was a truly dedicated City employee. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones in this terribly difficult time."

Murano had worked for Verizon for 30 years before working for the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications in 2006, where she managed the budget, contracts and support services. The 27-year-old Hysenagoll remained on the scene after the accident, and was charged with driving with a suspended license.

They should tack on an extra 5 years for having three L's in a row.

Oliger Hysenagoll, 27 years old, bought a new BMW last year, yet his license is suspended. How does that happen? Maybe Arizona has it right after all.

Mayor Bloomberg said in a statement, "...My thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones in this terribly difficult time."

Instead of trotting out these canned statements, maybe the Mayor should do something more substantial and push the NYPD to pursue criminal charges against automobile drivers whose actions kill citizens.

I don't really know what happens to these kind of drivers, but they should go to jail for manslaughter.

Why do so many stories about vehicular manslaughter and fatal auto accidents contain the words "suspended license"? Who are all these assholes who continue driving when it's against the law for them to do so? The fucking sense of entitlement!

Sorry. This kind of shit infuriates me.

    no jokes here. thats terrible.

good on hysenagoll for not pullin' the hit and run which has become all too common.

  • just saying

But bad (very, very bad) on Hysenagoll for driving with a suspended license and running down and killing a pedestrian.

And it seems like speed could have been a major factor since the impact completely knocked the victim out of her shoes.
