Finally, April resembles its rainy reputation. Nearly two inches of rain fell over weekend. More is expected today as a warm front slowly creeps northward toward the city. Ahead of that front we've got northeasterly winds to keep cool and cloudy all day. This is the northern edge of the storm that produced at least 61 tornadoes in the South over the weekend. Nothing so deadly is expected here, though the winds may cause minor flooding at high tide this evening.
A thunderstorm is not out of the question for this afternoon and evening. The threat of rain should ease up around noon tomorrow and the sun may make an appearance by the afternoon. Tomorrow's high should be a breezy 60 degrees.
Wednesday looks like it will feature a mix of sun and clouds with an outside chance of afternoon showers. A warming trend begins anew on Thursday as a high pressure system moves eastward. Thursday's high should be a near-normal 66. By Friday it should warm into the lower 70s with mid 70s expected for the first weekend of May.
