Police say a wild fight broke out on West 179th Street at 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon after Kevin Hernandez, 49, and his 18-year-old son Joseph tried to buy five pounds of weed from two dealers in a McDonald's near the George Washington Bridge. The Post reports that when the pair tried to pay for the herb with $3,500 in (probably pretty obviously) counterfeit cash, the dealers bounced. But the Hernandezes didn't appreciate this one bit, and proceeded to chase them down West 179th Street, where the father allegedly stabbed one of the dealers in the hand.

A Port Authority police officer, on routine patrol at the bus station, witnessed the episode and arrested the stabbed dealer on drug possession after the 5-pound heft was found in his car. The other fled the scene. The father and son, found with the 35 counterfeit $100 bills in question, were arrested on charges of assault and criminal possession of forged tender. Tragically, the incident left OxyContin pills "strewn all over the street."

If this'd happened in the drive through there might have been an awesome car chase.

    Scumbagginess runs in the family.

WTF! All my father did when I was 18 was send me off to college. "C'mon Pops, let's go score some grass up in the Heights", I'd say. "No dice, kiddo", was his only reply.

this scenario is completely backwards. the father probably said, "c'mon son, let's go score some grass up in the heights." and as you can see, the father is also the stabber.

LMAO. That spot is notorious for drug dealing. Jay-Z mentions it in his song "New York."

  • theLtrain

No he doesn't. He says "I used to cop in Harlem, all of my dominicanos right up there on broadway took me back to that McDonalds"

179th street is in Washington Heights.

Besides he's on 145th st in the video.

  • june

Thanks. I grew up in that neighborhood so I know exactly where it's located. I also know what goes on in and around there...especially at the McDonald's.

I'm not sure where he was in the video...but I will stand to argue that he is in fact referring to the McDonald's in Wash Heights and not the one in Harlem.

  • theLtrain

    Despite...the...fact..that...he...says...HARLEM.

"I used to cop in HARLEM"

  • june

    yes. in. rap. that. happens.

    I can make it anywhere,

    Yeah they love me everywhere,

I used to cop in Harlem,

    All of my dominicanos

    Right there up on broadway,

Brought me back to that Mc Donalds,

Took it to my stash spot,

The buy happened in a McDonalds? Limitless joke possibilities here.

5 pounds of weed, please, and hold the fries.

99 cents mcweed--the tiniest shit you'll ever smoke. real bills only.

  • Coppo808

Even though I don't smoke or condone the use of drugs, this just shows how the war on drugs is a complete waste of time and 40 billion dollars a year. All it does is create violence and drive drugs underground and into schools.

  • longacre

If you walked into a legal marijuana store and handed the owner $3500 in fake bills, there might be a fight, too.

  • angry_pickle

Solution: mandatory death penalty for trafficking just like in Singapore.

  • jchez

Family life as a vicious circle. With a dad like that, the kid had no chance to better himself in life.

  • sadpanda

That's rough. Give the guy a break, he was just trying to unload some bud! Can the Hernandezes get an added charge of "wanton stupidity"? Or at least pin the oxy pills on them!
