Police Commissioner Ray Kelly is renewing focus on auto theft after a fall in arrests and a rise in stolen cars. Though there has been a 14% decrease in auto crime in the past two years, police are concerned about a 27% decrease in auto arrests this year. They plan on getting information by questioning informants and closely inspecting body shops.
