NYPD Cracks Down on Auto Theft

042210gta.jpg Police Commissioner Ray Kelly is renewing focus on auto theft after a fall in arrests and a rise in stolen cars. Though there has been a 14% decrease in auto crime in the past two years, police are concerned about a 27% decrease in auto arrests this year. They plan on getting information by questioning informants and closely inspecting body shops. "People would be shocked at the body shops that look legitimate but are really chop shops," said one police supervisor. They would? There is currently no word on how similar initiatives are doing in Las Venturas or Vice City.

That's why it's crazy to get anything but an undesirable car for driving in this city. I have my mother's huge station wagon and NO one wants it. But it drives just fine.
