Where does it say he was fired? What is your source?

  • inoyourider

    "RevolutionMuslim.com"

They sound like scumbags, and apparently they are.

  • MrManhattan

Those Muslims should be careful, or they'll end up like the Saudi's did after the 9/11 attacks:

Being invited by the (then) President for cigars on the Truman Balcony.

  • Peter

One of the naked male models in Marina Abramovic's installation (but not hands-on) art at the MoMA was getting aroused so he was fired.

If he had tried thinking about sex with his 85-year-old grandmother he would have kept his job.

"getting aroused so he was fired"

Fired?? He was just taking some initiative by giving himself a 'raise'

"a young woman accused (Roethlisberger) of sexually assaulting her in the early hours of March 5. Authorities there declined to charge him with a crime. Roethlisberger thus becomes the first NFL player Goodell has suspended for violating the conduct policy even though he was never charged with a crime"

There's something very wrong here. Roethlisberger should appeal, & then sue the hell out of the league. Even though its a known fact that some will decline to press charges even if the event did occur, its not enough to use the accusation itself as grounds for suspension unless there's a conviction.

He was not charged because the victim declined to cooperate. The facts of the case and her accusation were not seriously in dispute. Even Rothlisberger does not deny breaking the law by buying underage women drinks -- which in itself is what the league is citing as the reason for his suspension.

There's little doubt that what transpired went beyond that. But as her lawyer said, because the high profile that the case would bring in court was something that she couldn't bring herself to deal with, she decided that she wasn't going to pursue charging him.

The full Georgia Bureau of Investigation documentation is here:

That's how celebrities get away with things that "regular people" can not.

    See the policy itself:

While criminal activity is clearly outside the scope of permissible conduct, and persons who engage in criminal activity will be subject to discipline, the standard of conduct for persons employed in the NFL is considerably higher. It is not enough simply to avoid being found guilty of a crime. Instead, as an employee of the NFL or a member club, you are held to a higher standard and expected to conduct yourself in a way that is responsible, promotes the values upon which the League is based, and is lawful. Persons who fail to live up to this standard of conduct are guilty of conduct detrimental and subject to discipline, even where the conduct itself does not result in conviction of a crime.

  • Kojak

Thanks, but the stated Policy gives the NFL insanely broad authority into determining what is unacceptable conduct. I understand the higher standard but still.

  • longacre

This is at least his second sexual assault accusation and there was also the time when he wrecked his motorcycle while not wearing a helmet. Great QB or not, his team doesn't want him anymore and he needs a timeout before he goes to jail or kills someone/himself.

  • Bonneykate

I'm guessing that second buller should say "soldier", not "oldier" . . ?

  • Bonneykate

And I should proof my own comments! That should say second "bullet" not "buller".

    -10 for me.
