Sex And The City Already Owning Box Office

phpFNa2wBPM.jpg Sex and the City fans are already getting Carried Away, buying tickets far in advance for the May 27th opening of the movie. The Hollywood Reporter notes "it was nearly 20% of [Fandango's] daily sales when it first went on sale, outpacing Kick-Ass, which was 17% of sales."

Perhaps more disconcerting is that "Women across the country are anxious to plan events and activities related to their evening out to see the film, and they want confirmation that they have tickets. Based on our experience with the first film, this can become quite an elaborate and fun-filled evening. Aside from purchasing tickets to see the movie, they are already reserving limousines and making restaurant reservations."

Maybe the rest of America can get behind another May release and outsell this thing? Babies? Seriously, anything.

    Carrie On, Bags.

That being said, I like SATC. But that pun is too good.

There's also a Sex and the City tour in LA. The tour gives fans the opportunity to follow behind the stiletto steps of the girls at popular locations throughout L.A. where they shopped, partied and of course…sipped cosmos. The first 10 fans who purchase advanced tickets will receive invitations to walk the pink carpet launch party too. Info for those interested: http://bit.ly/b0nY3R

Sarah Jessica Parker is so disgustingly ugly. damn, why put her on the big screen?

  • youngpro

Note to self: go camping on the weekend of May 27th.

The last intelligent episodes were at the beginning of season 3, then it all went down hill. The producers pimped out an edgy, topical series into a label-whoring, farcical soap opera.

I was dragged to the first one with my girlfriend, I was pretty shocked at the blatant and un-ironic racism in many of the scenes/plot points. The south park that mocks sarah jessica parker was the best thing i've ever seen. come on ladies this sets back perceptions of women by men more than the sex and the city porno...sex and the city.

  • Kojak

I agree 100%. And that South Park episode was hilarious.
