Not only did they survive multiple threats in extra innings, but they survived a blown save from K-Rod in the 19th inning. Mike Pelfrey ended up with an unlikely win and Jose Reyes had the GWRBI.
- Yankees 7 Texas 3: New York is rolling with an offense that takes pitch after pitch and a pitching staff that is proving very hard to score against. On Saturday, AJ Burnett pitched seven shutout innings and the offense banged out 13 hits while seeing 147 pitches. Derek Jeter went 3-for-4 with a home run and A-Rod went deep for his first time this season. New York goes for the sweep on Sunday behind Andy Pettitte.
