Husband Gives Bible to Wife's Murderer

041310bible.jpg At a sentencing in Manhattan yesterday, the husband of a woman murdered in a UES jewelry store gave the killer, David Andrango, a bible. Andrango killed coworker Sandra Rodriguez-Pumarejo in 2007 over $10,000 in missing gold from the jewelry store. According to the Post, Noel Pumarejo gave him the bible and said, "Just read this bible, and come to him, and save your soul. God bless you, David." A judge sentenced Andrango to 25-to-life for second degree murder.

Andrango, at the time an illegal immigrant, had been fired from the jewelry shop after sealing $10,000 in raw gold, but Sandra had allegedly promised him she wouldn't tell the cops if he paid it back. Days later, Andrango stabbed her in the jewelry shop. He told Pumarejo that he knew what he did was wrong, and said, "Thank you for the bible. I will take it with me all of the time. I will always read it." After the sentencing, Pumarejo said he wasn't concerned with the punishment. "I just care for his soul."

it takes an idiot of monumental proportions to still believe in a god after your own wife is murdered.

  • defmob

    why?

  • potsmoker

because if there was a god then there would be no murder, shrimp bans, or people saying sex is bad while diddling alter boys,

meanwhile tons of people claim god saved them from hurricanes, bullets, bldg collapses, car crashes etc etc and so on, while dead bodies pile around them...god answered your prayers but didnt answer all those other poor saps...yeah

    my favorites...

You do realize that your objections are fairly commonplace. If you're sincerely interested in uncovering arguments (on both sides), there are plenty of thoughtful writers, philosophers, theologians, et al. who've written on the existence of God, and the problem of evil.

I don't know if you're talking about a Hindu god or a Christian god, but you have a very simplistic, child-like view of what a god is.

well if your getting 25-life i guess thats the perfect moment to rip a page out and use it to wipe your aazz and saying screw you, a shanked ya dumb wife she deserved it...

since when can people hand convicted murders items in open court anyway?

stand corrected? good things come from religion...

oh yeah David Andrango must have grown up on a plastic bubble void of all religious ideas...that must be why he killed her..ahahhaa

actually it makes the husband look like an idiot...

did he read the bible? yeah thats why gold and diamonds the most abundant thing on the earth is dug up by slave labor in third world war torn countries and sold to yuppies with the PR tha its "rare"

its rare because they keep it all in a vault dummy...

    certified conflict free diamonds

sure ill beleive that when theres conflict associated diamonds selling for half off! with a blood soaked certificate of bloodthenticity

Wow. I don't even need to be religious to hate you.

This would be more heartwarming if the Bible weren't a collection of ancient barbarism and if the concept of a soul that can be saved by an all-ruling god weren't so corrosive and evil.

You better footnote your remarks or Richard Dawkins will come after you.
