Three Youths Arrested For L.E.S. Hate Crime Beatings

A 15-year-old girl, a 12-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were taken into custody for allegedly beating Asian women in five separate Lower East Side attacks. WCBS 2 reports that their parents brought them to the 7th Precinct: "A video police released earlier Friday was the break in the case: yes, someone who recognized the teenagers contacted police, and that someone were the parents."

Police classified the attacks as hate crimes, because all the victims, ages 50-71, were Asian. The youths did not rob the victims; three females beat the victims while two males would watch. The three suspects in custody will be in Family Court this morning while the two others are still being sought. City Councilwoman Margaret Chin (D) said, "We know that a lot of seniors are vulnerable, they're frightened to come forward. We encourage them and their neighbors if they saw anything, if they have any information, to come forward and not to be afraid if there's any immigrant status issue."

One resident told WCBS 2, "It's weird - this neighborhood is quiet. The Hasids, the Spanish, the Asians, the blacks, we all live quietly here. They don't really have a problem," while another said to the Post, "Things are bad and they are just going to keep getting worse. These kids are running amok out here... It reminds me of the bad old days."

Unfortunately kids do not know anything about the real world. They do not know when they hit, slap, murder people, the victims go to the hospital and the victims/families have to pay thousands of dollars for care. These kids do not know the value of money,funeral arrangements cost families $400000 and lost of life. It is sad that most of the time, they hurt people for fun,they think it is funny when they hit people and laugh with their friends. I am surprised they do not learn about violence in school/family/friends/news. Back in highschool, i was getting off school and this girl walking in front of me was knocked to the ground by some kid that purposely spun towards her. The girl cried of course after falling to the ground, but does that stupid kid feel anything after hurtin someone? He was just laughing with his friends. If his own family was hurt by strangers, I am pretty sure he wouldn't think what he did to girl was funny. Kids think that hurting people is cool, I think they are idiots and need to get themselves treated poorly to know what they are doing is wrong. i think the parents in this article are not snitches, those bad kids were probably so terrible that the parents could not do anything to turn their kids good, contacting the police is the solution.

the problem is, no matter how much we belittle these little trashbags and their scum-of-the earth parents in the subconscious hope that expressing our outrage with such incidents and the general situation with these trashbags and the rest of their kin in our society will somehow bring attention to the issue and bring about some kind of change, it will not happen.

who will bring about change? do you think these latino or black kids will read these posts and come to the realization that their whole way of life is one hopeless black hole and change for the better? do you think their trashbag parents who probably have the same maturity level and even worse moral standards than their trashbag children will feel any conscious self-awareness from reading these kinds of posts?

do you think the major media moguls and executives who create and spread mindless mainstream american culture, black and latino culture, and hip hop music, city officials, developers, educators, and mostly, the scumbag thief of a mayor that we have, will do anything to bring about any change?

Lol, if that happened to me at that age , I wouldn't speak to my parent till I turned 30 ! Wow, Not that I'm condoning what they did , But damn there own parents snitched on them . Whatever happened to parents defending their brude to the end ? If this is an isolated occurrence OK fine . If this is the beginning of a trend, I feel bad for the kids !

also, LB, the kids were jumping senior citizens, maybe the parents were mortified about their children acting like such pieces of shit and decided that the police could scare the shit out of the litte bastards way more effectively than grounding or eaven the belt could have on their part. Maybe they wanted them to understand the serious consequences of random violence in modern society. I'm usually pretty against police intervention in family issues, but this might have been a good case for it.

also, your kids are beating up senior citizens for kicks, obviously you have no fucking idea how to raise a kid, so... societal intervention, probably the best choice.

Yes The Parents should have taken responsibility for their "Brude" ( Meaning Clan, Offspring, etc. ) ! Think back to when you were a kid, Did you hook up with your friends and have one of them talk you into doing something stupid ? If not , then you probably had a fucked up childhood ! We all have done things that when we grow older, and Mature regret doing . We all think back to those days of being a kid reminiscing about all the dumb, fucked up shit we did . Me, As a kid I created a mixture with Alka Seltzer and fed it to pigeons . It was funny as hell to me back then to see them struggle to try to breathe and then "POP" there heads exploded ! Today I look back on that shit every time I see a pigeon and say in my head it was one of the stupidest things I ever did ! Get the point people ? Sure I did shit that my folks got wind of and all, But they never called the cops on me, Or took me down the Precinct . Why ? Because they were Good parents, loved me, and Understood that at that age I was a dumb ass ! So they punished me and I got the message that whatever I did was not cool ! In my opinion, These parents by reporting their kids to the cops gave up on them, Threw there hands in the air and said "Fuck it " ! Back in the days if you did something like this you got the ass whuppin of a lifetime , and punishment ! I guess now with all these new age, sissy-ass parents and there "I respect you , I want to be more then your Parent, I want to be Your Friend as well, and will treat you as an equal" Thinking . It's no wonder kids today are all confused , and fucked up in the head and do some of the craziest shit !
