I'm saying that most hit and runs and most pedestrians-getting-hit-by-autos is PREVENTABLE.

I'm also saying that no one will hold the man "in charge" responsible.

In fact, Bloombag lets the NYPD almost always give a free pass to drivers who hit pedestrians and cyclists.

I've never understood the argument: "I thought something hit my car, so I kept driving."

I've had stuff hit my car before (e.g, rock falling off of construction truck), and my response has always been to pull over to make sure everything is okay. Even if you hit a large pothole, a reasonable thing to do would be to pull over at the nearest corner and check to make sure you don't have a bulging tire or lost hubcap...
