Lil Wayne Starts Prison Blog, Thanx His Fans

4510wayne.jpg You can take away a man's freedom, but you can't take the will to blog: a little less than a month since starting his year-long prison sentence at Rikers, everyone's favorite twitter user, Lil Wayne, re-emerged on Friday with a new blog (and better editing skills). He explains that the site was set up so he could thank his F's (fans, friends and family) for sticking by him, and also so he can directly respond to fans who send him mail (and made the critically-aborted Rebirth a hit):

But this isn’t all about me, you are the reason for this letter. It’s because of you Rebirth went gold when critics aborted it. It’s because of you Young Money is and will always be a movement. If the weight of the world is on your shoulders, I beg of you, place it on mine. That’s the least I could do for you, after all you have sacrificed for me. If I could, I’d write each one of you back. Because of this, my team and I have created a website where you can view my letters. Each week I’ll answer as many questions as I possibly can.

Mia Edwards (Southern California) - I wish you nothing but the best for you. Earning your Masters in Library and Information Science is beautiful. I’ll keep you in mind whenever I decide to do an autobiography on my life.

Kelly Holloman (Brooklyn) - I still remember your letter. You have a great spirit. Thank you for the words and being a real fan. I love you.

Nurris Terrero (New York) - Your letter was so thoughtful and sincere. The way you worded everything left me in awe. Please send suggestions on books I should read. I look forward to checking them out.

Wayne also mentions that he will be blogging for ESPN again in the near future ("thank you espn for not letting my passion for sports perish"), although Gary Belsky, editor-in-chief of ESPN The Magazine, told the Associated Press, "We have no plans for Lil Wayne to blog for us at this time."

    "Young Money Movement".....WTF???

"the fact that he proclaims himself 'the best rapper alive' and people actually believe it"

makes me hope he gets shanked in the shower. If he never emerges from Prison, Hip Hop's heath will improve

Living proof that the majority of Americans wouldn't know good hip hop if it chuck norris spin kicked them in the face. the fact that he proclaims himself 'the best rapper alive' and people actually believe it makes me want to throw myself infront of a bus.
