Where's Our American Apparel Riot?

What would you do for a $1.50 deep v-neck? Would you riot? Because that is how they roll in London. According to Blog-Royale, Dov Charney has some sort of touring rummage sale in which the company sets up temporary outlet stores with items costing practically nothing. When it arrived at Brick Lane recently, it showed us just what happens when The Man gets in the way of a "tight ass hipster twat bag" and his next hoodie purchase:

We've asked our American Apparel contact if we could expect this sort of scene in New York, and he tells us a rummage sale here "is always a possibility." However, on this side of the pond the shop tends to attract a different type of rioter. [via KarenPlusOne]

Unlike in the US police violence is strongly condemned and regulated in the UK.

Most Cops are unarmed and only specialist divisions are allowed to carry firearms hence the police attitude varies strongly to that in the US.

But I do agree that it is completely ridiculous for people to riot over a cheap T-shit...and 30 arrest are still pretty good don't you think?

Sorry but this article has given the complete wrong impression! The police caused the riots. It was fine before that. A bit cramped, but fine. It was american apparel's fault. I heard the guy who was organising it say that security didn't turn up, which meant we waited for 40minutes in a spaceless environment and were ofc less than pleased when asked to move on due to cancellation with excessive force by the police! GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!
