A New Miss Brooklyn Has Been Crowned

phpItg2SePM.jpg Two years ago Miss Brooklyn hailed from Manhattan, where she had just moved from Virginia. This year, Alabama-native Mallory Hagan, allegedly living in Bedford-Stuyvesant, has taken the crown with less controversy. The 21-year-old won the pageant on Sunday, where she beat out nine other contestants. She declared,“As Miss Brooklyn, I want to leave a legacy for this organization rather than myself. If I can convince one girl to be confident enough to be interested in competing... my legacy will be my investment.” (The competition really does need more contestants!) Hagan will be taking time off from Brooklyn College to fill her pageant-winning duties and work towards becoming the next Miss America.

What's happened to these pageants? This last decade the girls keep getting more and more haggard.
