9/11 Memorial Will Be Ready By Next Year (So They Say)

Officials say that the long-awaited 9/11 Memorial will be ready for the tenth anniversary of the September 11 attacks. According to the Daily News, "Workers have framed in steel the memorial's mammoth reflecting pools, and 60% of the concrete for the project has been poured. In the next several weeks, workers will install the acre-sized pools with granite lining. Surrounding the pools will be a grove containing about 400 oak trees, which are growing at a site in New Jersey and will begin to be planted this year."

Port Authority Executive Director Chris Ward said, "Opening the 9/11 Memorial on the 10th anniversary of the attacks is our highest priority, and the framing of the signature pools is a tangible sign that we are continuing to make significant progress to meet our commitment." Well, the memorial won't be entirely complete—there will be more building to do after it opens for the 10th anniversary—and it's unclear how much public access there will be. Memorial designer Michael Arad reminded us last year, "It's definitely not a sprint, it's a marathon, so we had to be very dedicated to the project and persevere with a lot of difficulties."

HERE ARE THREE SMARTER PLANS FOR REBUILDING THE TWIN TOWERS (b/c Bloombag says the "terorists" should WIN, and succeed in destroying one of the most famous skylines on earth):

    1) Rebuild the twins, but 20 stories taller. Fill them with nothing but affordable housing and old folks homes. The CIA, er, the "terrorists" won't hit them again and we solve NYC's housing crisis!

    2) Rebuild the twins, but 20 stories taller, and fill them with ONLY GOVT OFFICES! (Few sheep know that half of the govt's offices are in... EXPENSIVE PRIVATE BUILDINGS, wasting billions of taxdollars. Chuck Shumer, Rangel, and the rest should not get one cent for RENT!)

I also guarantee the govt will THEN protect the buildings from future attacks!

    3) Rebuild em taller, but only put office space to the 60th story, and then have NO FLOORS tween stories 61 - 130!

LEAVE THAT SPACE VACANT, as two atriums of emptiness! With two reflecting pools taking up the whole floor space. So tourists come and pay $5 to see the EMPTY SPACE WHERE ALL THE PEOPLE PERISHED!

Fucking awesome "memorial". That's why the media won't allow any discussion of it.

    MORE BLOOMBAG DESTRUCTION OF NYC.

(He's right that you humans can't remember jack shit!)

    EX:

does NO ONE RECALL that he and Pataki threw a FAKE ELECTION to decide the future of this PUBLIC property and we "chose" the moronic "Freedom Tower"?

    Oh well.

Someday you'll think "damn... we wuz robbed!" and Bloombag and friends will be eating lobster YOU paid for while you suckas are on foodstamps!

Were the 9/11 attacks really done by terrorists or did someone decide we weren't attracting enough tourists?

    RIP to all the victims
